Gábor Lanczkor was born in 1981 on the 22nd of February in the city of Székesfehérvár, in Hungary.

He studied at the department of Hungarian language and literature at the Eötvös Loránd Science University in Budapest from 1999 to 2006.

During this time he spent a year in Ljubljana and twice a semester in Rome. At the moment he is working on his fourth poetry book while he is a PhD-student of comparative literature in Szeged, Hungary.
